After much anticipation, the Z-Man ChatterBait JackHammer Baby Jack has finally arrived! The Baby Jack is not just any old chatterbait, but the latest adaptation to the beloved, fish-catching, tournament-winning Z-Man ChatterBait JackHammer now in a compact, bite-sized package.

Developed from the minds of those who created the original JackHammer, professional anglers Brett Hite and Morizo Shimizu, in a collaboration between Z-Man and Evergreen International. The goal with the Baby Jack was to ensure this compact package provides the same unique characteristics as the original JackHammer while maintaining the high-end components and quality associated with the JackHammer name, available in 1/4 oz, 3/8 oz, and 1/2 oz compact sizes.

Blade-To-Head Connection

Bringing the Baby Jack to life required tweaks to the overall components to ensure a compact profile and action for the proper finesse approach. This bait excels as a smaller profile because it features a downsized stainless steel blade. Reducing the size of the blade allows this bait to stay down in the water column. This size reduction prevents the compact profile from rising toward the surface. Utilizing the same blade-to-head connection of the original JackHammer lays the groundwork that delivers that classic chatterbait-hunting action. This design ensures that the vibration begins as soon as you start your retrieval, so there are no wasted opportunities.

At the same time, the weighted collar below the head evenly distributes the weight of the bait, allowing for a compact head design for a balanced and natural horizontal posture in the water column.
