This is perfect for those colder months because you won't need to use a scupper hole for your transducer so you can plug them all up and stay dry! It can be combined with the YakAttack Transducer Mount as well as YakAttack Ramballs to give yourself a clean way to mount everything needed for your fish finder. To remove the battery box, just loosen the two knobs near the track and slide the box off of the existing GearTrac. Slide the box onto the new kayak's GearTrac and tighten the bolts. You can mount battery box on either the left or right side of the kayak depending on your preferences.
Drill the pre-marked holes to install the Ram balls to the top of the box. You may need to make a notch in the side of the box (preferably where the side touches the sliding door) to insert the power and sonar cables inside the box in order to connect them to the battery. Once the fish finder and transducer arm have been attached, simply wrap up the excess cable and zip tie the cables to hold them in place. It's that easy!
Warning: Do not make the notch too large. Water will then be able to get inside the box and it will get the battery wet.
